VINTAGE GERMAN? DR K LIFT-ARM PETROL LIGHTER

A rare and unusual lift-arm petrol pocket lighter. I believe that
these were made in Germany in the 1920's/1930's but I can't find the
reference in my books so I can't be certain. This was manufactured in
the period when German imports to England were marked "Foreign"
because of a prejudice against buying German products. The base is
marked, on the left, "BRIT PAT 305988" . In the centre "Dr K PULL OUT
TO FILL" and on the right "FOREIGN". The chrome or nickle plating is a
little worn in places but other than this the lighter is in good
condition, complete and sparking well.

Vintage Ronson petrol lighter quite tall at about 2 1/2" with a satin
fininsh. It is in excellent condition and lights first time. A great
piece of British engineering. They don't make them like this any more.
