Lovely vintage Art Deco perfume bottle in working order, made from
blue glass with an octagonal chrome plated top which echoes the
classic design of the period. The tube inside is made from glass.
The bulb itself is in good condition but the cover will need
replacing.
Measures 4"x3 1/2" and 1 1/2" deep.

Up for auction, a wonderful 1930s art deco vintage cut glass perfume
bottle / flask. It is an elegant piece with a deeply cut, typical art
deco pattern. The condition is excellent, other than a repaired break
on the hidden part of the stopper and a few minute nicks to the
visible ‘pyramid’ part of the stopper (see photo). These small
imperfections in no way detract from the sheer impact of this stunning
piece of cut glass, which would be an adornment to any dressing table.
Height of the bottle is 15.5 cm; width is 6cm. Weighs 400 grams empty,
so this is a heavy quality piece! Offered with no reserve.

Book Condition Grading: Criteria Used
Mint
= As new.
Fine
= Looks like new but on closer examination reveals it is secondhand.
Very Good
= Clean, with a tight binding and generally clean pages. May contain
previous owner’s inscriptions, bookplates, light foxing to pages
and/or page edges, slight bumps and slight rubbing/wear.
Good
= Binding may be (though not necessarily) slightly loose. The binding
or boards may be marked in some way or quite dirty, corners may be
bumped, with more than slight rubbing/wear, but overall the book looks
integral. Hinges may be a little cracked with some signs of webbing,
foxing. Some pages may be slightly grubby.
Fair
= Losing integrity, with severe marks and wear, possibly a detached
binding and pages may be marked, with heavy foxing or generally tatty
in appearance.
Although the grade of condition is ultimately a matter of the
seller’s opinion, we abide by the above criteria in determining the
overall condition of a book, and choose the designation where many
(though perhaps not all) of the criteria for a particular category are
present. If a book condition includes the words ‘plus’ or
‘near’, we feel it is somewhere between grading.

examine the photos carefully, asking any questions & requesting if
necessary extra photographs to help clarify identification or
condition, as we may unwittingly omit information that you as a
collector feel is important. Please do not outbid serious buyers then
ask questions!
* REFUND POLICY:
All goods in our auctions are sold as seen. Refunds are only
vouchsafed if an item objectively & significantly deviates from our
description. In this case, it may be returned & a full refund of the
purchase price will be given. Refunds are not offered for buyer’s
remorse – if a buyer changes his/her mind or thinks that s/he has
paid more than an item is worth. The final bid price reached by an
item is after all the bidder’s responsibility, not the seller’s!
Nor are refunds given when the description either does not mention a
point at issue or implies uncertainty about date, provenance, etc. In
such cases, the onus would be on the buyer to ask the relevant
questions prior to bidding. Note: The offer of a refund is contingent
upon problems being communicated within 2 days of receiving the item;
the condition on return must be the same as when sent to the buyer;
any postage costs incurred by the buyer are non-refundable; & partial
refunds are not given.
* ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS:
PayPal is our PREFERRED method of payment: we don’t charge you extra
to use it! UK BUYERS may pay by PayPal, cheque, Postal Order or cash
in Pounds Sterling. If choosing to pay by cash, it MUST be sent via
recorded delivery. VERY IMPORTANT!!! NON-UK BUYERS may ONLY pay by
PayPal OR cash in US dollars. The latter must be in notes (dollar
bills) only, so this may mean you have to round up the final total.
OPTING FOR CASH PAYMENT IN DOLLARS MEANS THAT: 1) the cash must ALWAYS
be sent via registered airmail; 2) a U.S. $8 FEE WILL BE LEVIED FOR
CONVERSION, WHICH IS PASSED ON TO YOU, THE BUYER. Please do not bid if
you are unwilling to accept these conditions.
* INVOICE:
An invoice will ALWAYS be emailed to the winning bidder within 24
hours after auction closing. Please wait until you receive OUR invoice
(ie. not the automatic one generated by ebay after every auction ends)
before submitting payment. If it doesn’t arrive, let us know, so we
can resend it!
* PAYMENT DEADLINE:
Payment should be received WITHIN TEN DAYS from the close of auction.
If you have a valid reason for delay in payment, please email us as
soon as possible: we are very understanding! If, however, you are
among the minority of ebayers who take weeks to answer after bidding
or don’t pay at all, DON’T BID, as we will unfortunately be
obliged to leave you negative feedback, & list you as a non-payer for
the protection of other sellers/bidders.
* FEEDBACK:
Our practice is to leave positive feedback upon payment. If happy with
our goods & service, PLEASE leave us corresponding feedback also –
we rely on this kindness! If we have inadvertently disappointed,
though, do mail us BEFORE leaving neutral or negative feedback, so
issues can be resolved & reputations maintained. Thanks!
* SHIPPING & HANDLING 1):
The buyer pays all SHIPPING costs, in addition to a HANDLING charge
which covers labour & materials. Please bear in mind that P&P costs
involve more than just the price of a stamp & do not necessarily
mirror the final auction price – a set of books won for a nominal
price of £4.99, for instance, may cost much more than that to send,
depending on its weight after packaging, the materials required to
ensure its safe despatch & its destination!
* SHIPPING & HANDLING 2):
UK BIDDERS: The overall P&P total is specified in the relevant auction
category. NON-UK BIDDERS: Please wait for our invoice with the
adjusted postage charges. Mail us BEFORE bidding if you’re concerned
about the cost – international postage can be expensive!
* SPECIAL REQUESTS:
We never end an auction early, so please don’t ask us to do this.
However, if you require a different method of postage, recorded
delivery or postal insurance, simply request this after the auction &

delivery will cost an extra 65p or 50p for larger items sent as a
