gc.beautiful green glass with a clear glass edge. 1960s/70s. possibly
murano. rim is "pinched" in 3 places.2 tiny nicks in rim, some very
tiny ones on foot and scratching to foot as well.due to wear and tear
over time. approx 3 and a half inches high. very heavy so will be sent

VINTAGE CLEAR GLASS STAND WITH 3 TAPERED SEXAGONAL FEET

This clear glass stand has 3 tapered sexagonal feet (6-sided) which
stand at about 2 cm. The stand has a scalloped rim which is also
about 2 cm deep. The diameter of the stand is approx 24 cm.

On the plate part of the stand is a central round decoration which is
then duplicated a further 3 times around the plate. Where the feet
are attached forms a sexagonal shape and this is in between the
circular decorations and looks a little like a deco art form.

This is quite a heavy piece of glass – there is no damage
whatsoever.
Â
Uses for this elegant stand could be – table ware, bathroom,
dressing table – it is a piece that would be happy anywhere in the
home. It would even look attractive as a flower or plant stand.
Â
I judge this piece to be anywhere from the 30s to the 50s – it
belonged to a lady in her late 80s who is down-scaling as she in going
into residential care.
