This item was part of my husbands childhood collection in the 1970's
and has been stored in the attic for 25 years.
In excellent condition apart from slight "T" shaped crack on the
bottom left hand side of the front of the loco above the buffer.

You are bidding for a Tri-ang Hornby R753 E3001 locomotive in BR Rail
blue with silver roof, yellow warning panels and single pantograph.
There is a small hairline crack at one end, and one of the buffer
mounts has been glued back in place (see photo). This damage is very
slight and hardly noticeable. Everything else is fine - the
heat-printed numbering and BR arrow logos are perfect. The motor has
been tested and runs like a dream both from the track and the
pantograph. It is boxed. The yellow plastic insert is original as it
has the number R753 in the top right corner. I am not so sure about
the card window box though, as there are no labels on the end flaps.
It is the right type of box but I don't think it is original.
I will inform the winning bidder of postage costs after the auction
has closed.

R.53 Maroon Locomotive and Tender
THE LOCOMOTIVE IS IN GOOD CONDITION.
All the paintwork, detail and transfers are in good condition for
their age. The decals are just starting to lift in a couple of places
see photographs especially on tender. This loco also has a repair to
the RHS Cylinder see photo 4
This Locomotive is 1 of many in my collection and as I now do not have
time or space need to move things on.
The box for the Loco is in good condition for its age.
Very collectable now!
