As the title implies, this is a book of over 100 cross-stitch designs. It
is beautifully illustrated throughout with color photographs of the
finished items and color charts (without symbols). There are many
borders and small motifs. There are several alphabet charts in the
book. Instructions for finishing ideas are included with each project.
At the back of the book is a chapter called "Better Embroidery" that
has advice and tips on choosing fabrics and fibers, setting up a frame
and charting your own designs. Also included is a DMC to Anchor
conversion chart.

This is a good book for beginner to intermediate stitchers.

I am clearing off my bookshelves again so am offering craft books at
bargain prices. I am starting the bidding as low as possible, but
unfortunately the high postage cost reflects the actual cost of
sending the book first class within the UK. If you would like the
book sent 2nd class, I'll happily reduce the P&P accordingly.
This is The Cross Stitch Project Book by Dorothea Hall. As could be
expected from Dorothea, this a wonderfully instructive and inspiring
book.
This is a big book (hence the high P&P) - that means it has tons and
tons of wonderful designs and projects. It covers cross stitch
techniques, then moves onto a collection of projects grouped under the
themes: accessories for the home, special occasions and celebrations,
quick and easy gifts, and gifts for babies and children.
Dorothea is a wonderful designer and the design themes in this book
include flowers, nursery rhymes, birds and animals, people, Christmas
images (trees, bells, snowflakes, Santa etc), hearts, wedding bells,
fruits, foliage, trees and houses.
The projects in this book include cushions, samplers, quilts,
pictures, runners, bookmarks, Christmas decorations, picture frames,
greetings cards, paperweights, pin cushions, baby toys, baskets and
many more!
The book contains projects to suit a wide range of abilities, from
children up to very skilled needleworkers.
This book has a dust jacket and is in excellent condition. It cost
£14.99 new, so here is your chance to snag a real bargain!

Good condition although cover is creased.
