1981 RARE Steiff Mama and Baby Set - No Reserve

This is a wonderful and rare set which was produced in 1981 as a USA
exclusive. Mama bear is fully jointed and made from blond mohair and
is 15" in height. She has pretty peach coloured felt paw pads and is
in MINT condition - as is her baby - who is appx 7" in height, made
from the same lovely blond mohair and jointed with the same peach
coloured pads. Mama has her brass button and tag in ear and baby just
has the brass button (please note that babys tag is NOT missing - he
was not produced with a tag)! This set was made from over-production
of the Limited Edition of 8000 and this is clearly stated on the
reverse of Mamas ear tag. Thus, this set is probably more hard to come
by than one of the LE 8000

Steiff Teddy Bear 1909 'Dunkelblau 35'Â was produced in 1998 in a
limited edition of 7000 pieces. This most lovely bear is hand made
from the finest dark blue mohair and is stuffed with wood shavings in
the old tradition. His nose and claws are hand stitched. This bear has
a growler.
Standing 35 cm in height he comes complete with his certificate of
authenticity and his original inner and outer box. He has his white
ear tag and his gold coloured 'Button in Ear' attached to his left
ear. This item is in mint condition. As with all of my bears he is
from a non smoking home.
EAN Number 406508.
