A small unsigned hand coloured original steel engraving of Bethlem Hospital in London which we believe dates to 1850. Fully framed and glazed (poor quality frame). Measurements: With frame - 17 cms by 114 cms. Without frame - 8.5 cms by 7 cms. Condition: Generally good - slight discolouration and foxing. Some small raised patches which I have tried to show on the attached photo. Thanks for looking. Our terms and conditions are listed under postage and packing.

This is an EXCELLENT STEEL ENGRAVING titled The Secret Discovered. There are no details about the artist or engraver of this plate. It was published in about 1845. The image measures 6Â¼x5Â¼ inches approximately on stout paper measuring 10Â¾x8 inches. The supersize photograph shows the beautiful detail in this engraving. The paper is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. It came from the collections of the late Eugene Okarma, who was based in Atlanta USA and Brobury House, Herefordshire England. The detail in the photograph on screen does not do justice to the engraving as the scanning and file compression required for an ebay listing causes some of the subtle shading to be lost. A larger photograph is available on request. This over 150 year old ANTIQUE ENGRAVING is unmounted and unframed and is surplus to our current requirements and is priced well below its retail value and has no reserve.
