Star Wars Special Action Figure 3 Pack Hero Set MIMB

this is an ultra rare vintage star wars 1978 special 3 pack action figure
set. the set is the hero set comprising of han solo, princess leia and
ben kenobi and is arguably the hardest of all the 3 packs to come by.
brians toys has sold one of these sets recently for $5,000 approx
£3,000 and occasionally has them available at this price. cloud city
collectibles sold one around 5 years ago in dead mint top AFA graded
condition for $11,000 approx £6,500, this is how rare these sets are.
the packaging box is near mint Unpunched, free from creases (apart
from the flap fold which can only be seen from the back). it has feint
tape residue by the punch which has to be tilted into the light to be
fully seen. the box is still tape sealed at one end but the tape at
the other end was cleanly razored through to remove the sleeve with
the figures. there is no edge wear or corner wear worthy of mention -
the package is near mint. the bubbles are crystal clear, free from
yellowing, crack and ding free. the reason this set is available at a
fraction of its normal price is because the bubble has been resealed
in places. it remains partly factory sealed but it has been lifted and
stuck back down in places. only a few collectors could afford to part
with $5,000 to $11,000 for one of these sets. if you can live with
these issues then this is the only opportunity most collectors will
have of owning this set - if it is sealed in an acrylic case then it
will display as well as a fully factory sealed. it is only on close
inspection can these issues be seen. paypal and bidpay accepted.
