Katana Sword. A full 39 1/2 inches from tip to pommel it is a
fantastic addition to any collection, especially if you already
have our Blue & Gold Katana because this is it's matching partner.
The carbon steel blade is sharp and brightly polished. The handle
is red and gold cloth wrap, tightly cross-bound with a non slip
handgrip and gold dragon motif pommel.
The wooden scabbard is also covered in matching red wrap with gold
decoration, and a ribbon trim finishes off this very impressive
piece.

Description:
This replica Katana is fully functional.
The hilt is encased with a black and red nylon wrap. The top of the
scabbard is wrapped with black and red nylon, which matches the hilt
wrap. (black and red nylon wrap on handle looks grey in this picture
because of the flash reflection. In real life it is black)
Samurai were fierce warriors who followed a strict discipline of
warefare. The Samurai sword was the preferred weapon in hand to hand
combat. A good sword, the Katana, was highly valued and has become
legendary for its fine quality. It was the privilege and right of a
Samurai to wear a sword.
The Japanese were fine crafstman, and the master swordscraftsman had
metalurgy knowledge that produced steel of exceptional quality. Katana
were not the only bladed weapons used. Samurai warriors also carried a
smaller version called the wazikashi.
