Books 1 and 2 of “The Book of Basic Patterns
For Standard gauge Knitting Machines.
Book 1 is “Ladies sweaters and cardigansâ€, sizes 32†to 50â€
Book 2 is “Children’s sweaters and cardigans†sizes 22†to
32â€
Each book contains a collection of classic sweaters and cardigans ,
written with the needs of the beginner in mind. It assumes that the
reader has some understanding of needle positions, carriage settings,
and has mastered the basic techniques of casting on/off, decreasing
and increasing, but contains instructions for all the other techniques
needed to knit the patterns.
All garments are in stocking stitch.
Each book has instructions for
Drop shoulder sweaters and cardigans
Set in sleeve sweaters and cardigans
Raglan sweaters and cardigans
And Book 2 also has patterns for Shirt neck sweater and Crossover
Ballet cardigan.
Each book contains 62 pages and both books are in good used condition.
Book1 has a bit of squashing on the spiral binding, but the pages open
and close as normal.
