The NEW 450cc r5 dual features widely spaced, dual Taylor Made Launch
Control cartridges that are pre-configured and permanent. This
positions the weight ideally so you don't have to. With Launch Control
promoting an extremely high moment of inertia and proper clubhead
rotation, the r5 dual Type N delivers remarkable forgiveness and a
straight ball flight while the r5 dual Type D provides a draw.
R5 Dual "D" Drivers Feature:

• 450cc clubhead size with Super-Thin Wall Casting Technology
• The walls of the r5 dual are incredibly thin, yet strong
enough to withstand the rigors of impact
• "Pulled heel" clubhead shape features a prominent bulge near
the heel to produce a distance-enhancing draw
• Clubface is also aligned slightly closed to promote a
draw-spin
• TaylorMade Launch Control (TLC) cartridges are strategically
positioned low and at the clubhead's perimeter to make it easier to
launch the ball high and long
• Center of gravity is positioned closer to the heel to promote
a draw bias
• Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the club's COR
zone for higher average ball speed and consistently longer drives
Deep-faced drivers increase the player's opportunity to achieve
"vertical-gear effect"
• When impact is made with the upper part of the clubface, above
the CG the result is a higher launch angle and less backspin, a
combination that promotes greater distance
• Two TLC cartridges are permanently installed at the rear of
the clubhead
• The weight of the dual TLC cartridges and the manner in which
they are spaced apart significantly increases the MOI, resulting in
added forgiveness
• TaylorMade TGT grip is formulated from a special high-traction
compound for all-weather traction
• Emblazoned onto the surface is a finger-placement guide to

What is XD? - XD (Extra Distance) is a process and formula wherein the
performance elements of a metalwood are tweaked and turned up,
transforming the club into a more muscular, more forgiving, and more
powerful version of its former self. TaylorMade engineers took the
R540 and R580 back to the lab, closed the door and executed the XD
treatment, emerging with drivers that are Bigger, Better and
