Two intriguing and compelling puzzles from Professor Rubik, inventor
of Rubik’s Cube. Rubik’s Magic Puzzle is described as “eight
flat squares with three rings printed over them. The squares are
cleverly hinged so they fold in many directions. The puzzle is printed
on both sides to keep your mind alert. By folding and turning the
puzzle the three ring will appear linked.†The other is called
Rubik’s Clock. The aim is to set all the clock’s hands to 12. Both
sides have to be set so it’s not as easy as it looks. It has four
wheels and four buttons. By pressing a button and turning a wheel the
clocks move. If you press a different button, different clocks move.
Made by Matchbox in 1988. Neither of these puzzles have boxes or
instructions but perhaps you could play with these whilst the boxed
ones in your collection remain pristine.
