REACTOR FUZZ BOX GUITAR EFFECTS PEDAL ------------------------------------- researched,developed & handbuilt in England by electronics wizard Alan Exley of livewire electronics fame [see October 2004 issue of GUITARIST mag...] This is probably one of the most versatile fuzz boxes ever built It will give you most of the permutations of all the fuzz box sounds from the early to the late 1960's It uses a calibrated pair of 1960's pnp germanium transistors it has TRUE bypass to give your guitar perfect natural voicing when switched off It has 5 controls the first is a filter sweep, which is an inductance tone control, to give fizzy treble to fuzzy treble & to muted sustain The second is bass output to give you a nice round output on the bass and is interactive with the filter sweep The third is output level [speaks for itself really]gives you control over gain level between true bypass and effect The forth is FUZZ,this gives you gain saturation - like most other fuzzes - flat out gives you the best fuzz experience but by backing off to even the levels that don't seem to have a lot of gain and adjusting output level and adjusting other controls,blues effects can be nicely achieved. the fifth is Q2bias the 'dark art' control,by adjusting fully clockwise it will give you typical sounds of the tonebender type fuzz boxes,backing it counter clockwise will give you access to Jimi Hendrix and Arbiter type fuzz sounds.Going round to about 12 o'clock & use the 2 tone controls to interact with the fuzz and I'm sure it's one of the most recognised fuzz sounds as used on Revolution by 'the fab 4',back off still further and the area starts to become unstable-somewhere around here ,by using the tone filters is one of the classic fuzz sounds of the early 60's like Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones,back off even further using the filters yet again - do you remember that 'horrible' fuzz but soo techno of Spirit in the sky? play with it & have fun! low battery drain [9v] does have a power supply input socket each one will be signed &
