This genuine British Achievments First Day Cover commemorates the 50th
Anniverary of the First Trans Atlantic direct flight made by Captain
Sir John Alcock K.B.E. D.S.C.& Sir Arthur Whitten Brown K.B.E. and
comes postmarked '2 APR 1969'.
This First Day cover, published by A.M. Stewart, Southampton, consists
of 1 X 5d franked stamp.
The photo attached is an actual scan of the item on offer.
This nicely illustrated item, which reads " The fist flight across the
