FAIRWATER ON SEA featured railway modeller July 2002 2mm N gauge GWR
late 1930's, overall size is 15ft x 11ft: scenic section 11ft x 4ft
and hidden section 3ft x
4ft.
TRACK WORK - standard electro frog Peco ponits and
Flexitrack. CONTROLS - fully wired for
C.A.B control using hand held controller, turnouts activated by Peco
point motors. electro-magnets for uncoupling by
SEEP. LANDSCAPE - Newspaper impregnated
with P.V.A glue laid over a wooden frame. Woodland scenic's scatter
used
throughout.
BUILDINGS - The majority are scratch built on a cardboard
superstructure overlayed with Slaters plastic card and brick paper.
Roofs - slates individually laid with writing pqper, tiles are made
using modelling
clay.
TREES - Large examples are made from twisted wire, smaller shrubs made
from wire wool covered with Woodlands scatter.
