Being light, foldable and easy to carry they were very functional for the life and survival of tribes in their day. Even today carpet weaving culture exists in Anatolia. The most important fact that makes Turkish carpets very valuable and unique is that the colours are obtained from nature and also they reflect the characteristics of the region where they are made. Therefore, those natural colours last for many years; the colours, designs and the materials used, reflect the geographical situations of the regions. The patterns are geometrical and floral. Usage Essentially these miniature carpets are used as furniture in dolls houses. However, some people use them as tea/coffee matts and some people send them as love letters instead of cards. Some people like their patterns and use them as covers for tables and some frame and hang them up on walls.
