Please check that you can recieve digital radio in your area before bidding for this item. DESCRIPTION The New Crown CDR1240DAB Depending on the area that you live in you can recieve between 25 to 55 DAB stations , including BBC Radios 1-4, 5 Live, 5 Live Sports Extra, Classic FM, local and unique-to-digital stations such as BBC 6 Music, BBC 7, BBC 1Xtra, Oneword , Core, DNN news and Planet Rock. These are the latest 3rd generation DAB radios which will recieve broadcasts between 174 - 240 mhz. (check other DAB radios as there are still older DAB radios being sold) As well as digital radio you can switch to standard FM 88.5 - 108 mhz There are 4 presets buttons for both DAB and FM that you can use to store your favorite stations visit our web site To the right of the digital display are the tuning buttons. When you switch on the DAB, the radio scans and stores the stations available, you can then select which station you wish to listen to by moving up or down the options. The station name and the type of music (if known) that they play are displayed on the blue backlit LED display in the middle of the radio.. The info button when pressed will give additional info on the station or track being played, Known as DLS (dynamic label segment) this info will schroll across the screen if the station uses it. visit our web site The radio has a built in clock. Using UK MSF it will update the time precicely using the time signal sent out by the digital radio stations. The Radio is also a CLOCK Radio, so you can wake up to either your favorite DAB broadcast, FM radio station or to an alarm beep.There is a snooze button and a sleep function. The sleep function can be set to automatically switch the radio off from between 10 - 90 minutes. The radio has two x 3" - 8 ohm speakers in the front and there is of course a headphone socket on the side of the stylish Beechwood case. The radio measures 26 cm wide, is 17 cm deep and 10 cm wide and weighs just under 2 kg There is a built in British mains lead and if used as a portable radio it can take 6 x "c" cell batteries. These Radios can still be bought in some of the large electrical stores for OVER A HUNDRED POUNDS.
