This attractive rose/posy bowl is complete with it's original blue
glass flower frog, and is in excellent condition....
I can't find any markings to identify a maker, but it's a good quality
item that I'm certain is by the sought after firm Sowerbys, England,
but as it's unmarked I can't say for sure....
This item dates from the Art Deco era, around circa 1930s, and is
typical of the styling of the period, it stands 5 inches tall, while
the flared rim measures a fraction over 5 and a half inches in
diameter, the separate flower frog sit's nicely on little ledges
inside the bowl, it measures approx 3 and a quarter inches in diameter
and has 8 holes for flowers, and is approx 2 inches long, this too is
in excellent condition, with just a few tiny nicks around where the
base is cut off, but this doesn't detract in any way and I'd still
describe it's condition as excellent.....
