9ct Gold Carnelian and Diamond Deco Ring 1931

This lovely ring, marked ‘9ct gold’ ‘ silver setting’ carries a
registration number which dates it to 1931. The ring, which is
approximately L size, is set with a rectangular shaped white and red
banded carnelian agate, cut so that the colours are layered rather
than banded. To each side of the central stone are set two diamond
chips, mounted in a silver setting. From the front the agate shows a
band of red around the edge,but from the back it shows completely red!
