CORGI-The Queens Silver Jubilee 1977
This exceptional work of craftmanship was manufactured by Corgi in
honour of H.R.H Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate 25 years of reign.
The open topped die-cast carraige is burgundy in colour with red
upholstery and shows the Queens crown on the sides in red, gold, blue
and white. Four lamps at the corners and two footmen at the back with
the Queen and Prince Philip inside the carraige.
The carraige is pulled by four horses with a horsemen on each of the
two left side horses.
Following behind the carraige is one of the Queens Corgis (aawww seems
even the Queens dogs follow them too ... given the chance ;o) )
The whole item stands on a plastic base which measures 14-1/2" long X
2-1/2" wide. The actual coach and horses measures 11-1/2" at it's
longest point X 1-3/4" at its widest point.
The base is labelled '1902 State Landau . Silver Jubilee 1977'
Unfortunately 2 of the horses have had the hoofs broken and repaired.
One horse has 2 hoofs repaired and the other horse one hoof repaired.
I have the original box for this item. The box is written in what I
believe to be German and French as well as English. On the side of the
box is Corgi 41. However I must stress that the box is in really bad
condition.
