Classic Action Comics 80 page Giant with Supergirl. The cover has seen
some action itself and is not in great condition. The back cover is
detached and there is a tear and creasing on the front cover which is
still attached. The interior is in great condition with all pages
attached and intact. If anyone wants closer scan or more information

GUIDE TO THE WAY WE GRADE
Mint (M): In our opinion comics in this grade don’t exist as it
implies that they are perfect. It is always possible to find a fault
no matter how small which is why we, like a lot of other top dealers,
believe that Near Mint (NM) is the highest possible grade.
Near Mint (NM): In our view the highest possible grade a comic can be.
Virtually perfect with only the tiniest fault(s) due to the printing
process or handling. Comics in this grade are completely flat with
creamy white supple pages which, like the staples are perfectly
cantered. The cover has a high gloss. The comic appears to be unread.
Near Mint MINUS (NM-): Not quite as good as Near Mint with an
additional defect or defects which detract from the comic’s
appearance, still a super high grade.
Very Fine Plus (VFN+): A slightly better grade than Very Fine with an
additional virtue or virtues which improves the comic’s appearance
thus making it more desirable than a Very Fine copy.
Very Fine (VFN): An excellent copy with instant eye appeal with only a
few minor defects. A small number of printing or binding defects are
allowed. It is still flat with good cover gloss and hardly any surface
wear. A ¼ inch cover crease is also acceptable and are stamped, inked
or pencil arrival dates. The spine is almost completely flat with
minimal colour breaks. Very slight staple tears and almost
unnoticeable stress line may be present. Very, very slight corner wear
is possible.
Very Fine Minus (VFN-): Not quite as good as Very Fine with an
additional defect or defects which detract from the comic’s
appearance.
Fine Plus (FN+): A slightly better grade than Fine with an additional
virtue or virtues which improves the comic’s appearance thus making
it more desirable than a Fine copy.
Fine (FN): An above average copy that shows some wear, but is still
relatively flat and clean with no serious faults, although some
creasing, binding and or printing defects are allowed. Minor staining,
corner blunting, very slight spine roll, discolouration and spine
split may be present, but certainly not all of those faults together
are allowed in this grade. Pages might be slightly tanning and the
centrefold, whilst still attached, might be loose.
Fine Minus (FN-): Not quite as good as Fine with an additional defect
or defects which detract from the comic’s appearance.
Very Good Plus (VG+): A slightly better grade than Very Good with an
additional virtue or virtues which improves the comic’s appearance
thus making it more desirable than a Very Good copy.
Very Good (VG): The common grade of the average used comic book. The
cover shows moderate to significant wear with a lot of its original
gloss gone. Spine damage/wear is acceptable as are some colour lose
and foxing. Writing inside and or on the covers, stamps, arrival
dates, slight print-outs, discoloration and minor general soiling as
well as other many minor defects, are acceptable also in this grade.
Very Good Minus (VG-): Not quite as good as Very Good with an
additional defect or defects which detract from the comic’s
appearance.
Good Plus (G+): A slightly better grade than Good with an additional
virtue or virtues which improves the comic’s appearance thus making
it more desirable than a Good copy
Good (G) : Sometime described as “reading copy†comics in this
grade although still complete will show substantial wear. Almost all
faults are acceptable except that the pages are not brittle.
Good Minus (G-): Not quite as good as Good with an additional defect
or defects which detract from the comic’s appearance
Fair (FR) & Poor (PR): Mostly complete, but almost anything goes!
