STEVEN 1st Issue/USA comic/Doug Alan/Kitchen Sink Comix
Last Price: GBP0.99 Ending Date and Time (GMT): 2004-10-30 19:00:50 You are bidding on a 1st issue of Steven published by Kitchen Sink
Comix.
It is in good but not mint condition. There is some creasing on two
corners of the front cover. Not very noticable but I feel I have to
let you know before you bid. Even so it's still an excellent piece
for the serious comic collector.
Inside cover reads:
Steven Number One
One day in about 1976, I drew a primitive
character in a sketchbook, then under him I
wrote the name 'Steven'. Don't ask me why.
Back then, I had a lot of anger and Steven
was an outlet for it. Twelve years later, I still
have a lot of anger, but I think Steven has
kept me from killing somebody. I let him do
it for me.
This is a compilation of some of the best
weekly strips that appeared in the Newspaper in
Providence, RI, from about 1980 to 1986.
For earlier strips, see Steven Number Two,
which includes strips from 1977 as well as
later ones which pick up where Steven
Number One leaves off. Steven Number Two
will appear next month.
