LIMA N GAUGE CLASS 87 BO-BO ELECTRIC LOCO

This is a casualty so read no further unless you are interested in a small restoration project. This is an N gauge Lima class 87 Bo-Bo AC electric locomotive. although I cannot reconcile the loco number which is E3185. It carries the old BR logo on either side. Paintwork to the body work is fine, detailed lettering is excellent. the pantilever appears sound and undamaged, together with the other detailed electrical parts. The only fault I can see is there is a small section missing to the front of the loco which could fairly easily be remodelled, although it doesn't notice too much and is just a little bit over the size of a matchstick head. The front and back lights are intact, the buffer stops will need to be replaced. I've removed the body to look inside and stupidly I've lost the screw! The chassis is plastic and both bogies are intact and working fine. The chassis has split just behind the front bogie so it will need re-glueing and I would recommend some internal re-inforcement. The wire linkage to the motor is detached, the motor looks complete but as it is at the moment does not run. The gearing to the wheels is intact. The lead weight is there. So to summarise, seems to be missing 4 buffers and a body locking bolt and a little bit of TLC will make this a fine looking locomotive. The paintwork is well above average and the logos and numbers etc are well defined. Nice and cheap to reflect work needed. Worth 99p if only for scenics. I'll be pleased to answer any questions as I would like to see the loco up and running again and with this early BR logo it may be a rarity. Customers may remember me from the earlier part of this year when I sold off masses of stock from my collectors shop which closed in the 1980s. I have kept some better items back for the Christmas trade to include mint and boxed trains sets, limited editions etc etc in N gauge and 00 gauge.
