The latest and best ultra-wide-angle zoom lens from Canon. This L
class lens is released to replace the 17-35mm f2.8 L lens. The
range may only have increased by 1mm, but at wide-angle end this
is much more significant than a 1mm increase at say, 300mm.
Digital SLRs such as D60 and 1D will benefits from the wide angle
to compensate the focus length multiplexer. However this lens is
not just for Digital EOS. It offers the benefits for all EOS
models:

- Two UD elements to provide effective correction for chromatic
