The resolution is one of the most important ratings of a digital
camera.
Digital images are made up of dots called pixels.
Resolution refers to how many pixels make up a photo, and it is
usually measured in the horizontal by vertical resolution, as in "3264

Frame rate - The number of frames that are shown or sent each second.
Image Sensor - A traditional camera exposes a piece of light-sensitive
film, digital cameras use an electronic image sensor to gather the
image data.
Optical Viewfinder - An eye level viewfinder that is used to compose
the photograph.
Pixels - The small picture elements that make up a digital photograph
RGB - The colour system used in most digital cameras where red, green,
and blue light is captured separately and then combined to create a
full colour image.
Self-Timer - Preset time delay (2, 5 or 10 seconds) before the shutter
fires. Allows the photographer to get into the picture without using a
cable release or remote control. It is also great for taking macro
shots, as you don't touch the camera to trip the shutter and thus
eliminates any camera shake.
USB – ‘Universal Serial Bus’ - the data I/O port on most digital
cameras and found on modern PC and Mac computers. Faster than the
serial port. Up to 12MB/s with v1.1 interfaces.
USB port - A high-speed port that lets you daisy-chain devices
(connect one device to another).
Viewfinder - A separate window on the camera through which you look to
compose images.
White balance - An automatic control that adjusts the brightest part
of the scene so it looks white.
