British Airways Boeing 747-400 Display Model
This is an official British Airways display model of the most
successful long range passenger jet to have ever taken to the skies.
The 747 jumbo jet was born as a direct descendent of the 707, Boeing
having taken this proven design and stretching it to what was then in
1969. The ultimate size possible.
Since receiving its certification of airworthiness in 1970, an
incredible 1,341 versions of this aircraft have been sold around the
world and this model represents the current 747-400 as introduced in
1991 in British Airways Chatham livery.
At a scale 1:250, this display model measures 27.2cm in length and has
a wingspan of 21.6cm. It comes with its own display stand, giving this
imposing reproduction a total nose height of 10.5cm and 13.5cm to the
top of the tail.
It is an easy to construct push fit plastic replica, do not be
confused, this is not a toy or model kit and requires no glue or
paint. The livery etc has already been applied by the manufacturer
using modern techniques, giving a crisp, fine printed detail.
The brand new and unopened box (packaging may differ from picture)
that the winning bidder will receive contains only seven simple parts.
Fuselage, 2 detailed wings, detailed tail plane, tail, stand stem and
base and only takes about a minute to assemble!

model of the Queen of the skies, that will look just as good on its
own or as part of any aircraft collection.

the continuing success of her legacy.

Detailed Description
The model is approx 25cm or 10 inches long, wingspan 28cm or 10.75
inches, made of plastic and of push fit construction requiring no glue
or paint as it's ready printed in the airlines colours. The model
comes with its own BE DASH 8-300 display stand.
A well detailed display model in the distinctive BRITISH EUROPEAN
livery. Detail of flaps, spoilers, ailerons and artwork are clearly
defined.
An asset to any collection.
