Reviewed in Todays Golfer April 2004: The Maxx is up there with the
most playable of the new giant-headed drivers and is certainly one of
the best for value. When you first look at the Maxx the deep red head
looks simply enormous, one smooth swing later and the ball is sailing
down the fairway. The feel is good and solid, the sound nice and
tonky. It delivers such consistent drives from right accross the face
that i reckon its average yardage would be up there with the very
best.
In summary: Not all the giant-headed drivers are quite as playable as
the manufacturers would have us believe, but the Wilson Maxx is a
treat. Easy to hit and forgiving, it makes driving a cinch 4 STARS
Reviewed in Todays Golfer June 2003: Appealing, easy-to-use driver
that more than makes up for being a club shorter than the very best by
being uncannily accurate. Wild hitters should investigate.
