Mounted and ready for framing
[IMAGE]A beautiful, delicate, quality chromolithograph from a rare
British fern book of the era, when the Victorian "fern craze" was at
its height.
Ferns were a national obsession in Victorian England - young ladies
were encouraged to develop an interest in nature and many would
while away happy hours in the study of these lovely plants.
Ferneries were constructed and housed different specimens.
"Ferns, like most things in nature, are responsive to thoughtful
tenderness, and repay that consideration which, consists, not in
expensive outlay, but rather in loving study of a plant's likings
and dislikings." This lovely print has the words 'Plate 10' in the
top right hand corner and numbers next to the different species.

A Note on condition:
Minor imperfections are to be expected from antique prints due to
their age. Often these do not affect the appearance of the print. Any
blemishes that are noteworthy are fully described and shown in the
scans.
Saving the picture in a suitable web format tends to degrade the
quality of the image (the mounts in particular tend to appear blotchy
and colours will vary slightly depending on your monitor) - the
originals are of a much higher quality.
Mount Size:
This print is Single mounted on Cream with Gold border line to fit a
standard 10 X 12 inch frame
All mounts are hand cut to fit individual print measurements.

Shelf clearance - lots of older stock (and some new) at much reduced
prices (often much less than the price of the mount itself) - perhaps

Beautiful Framed print by Patrick Bradfield 1993 believed in Malawi.
Patrick Bradfield is a very well-known artist specialising in African
subjects. Born in Malawi, he went to Art college in the south of
England. Glazed and set in a complimented wooden frame.
Frame is 35 X 25"
This Item would be a superb compliment to any Modern stylish deigned
