Packaging and Insurance. I purchase materials specially to provide the
best protection for your purchases whilst in transit and pride myself
on the quality of packing (see feedback). I make every effort to pack
things ultra carefully for a safe journey and cannot be held
responsible for the post office’s mishandling of an item. It is up
to all buyers to ensure they request insurance if they want it. If
economy of shipping is more important to you, please ask for ways to
reduce package weight and thus shipping costs. Bear in mind the recent
toughening of the Royal Mail in their attitude to compensation claims
and make sure I send items to standards and by methods that satisfy
YOU. Feel free to ask for special delivery or other even safer methods
of mailing and increased insurance. Remember that compensation offered
by the post office only covers the item and not the postage.
Source of Items. Most of my auction items come from one of two
sources. I belong to a barter circle where I can trade my time,
advantageously, for other members’ goods. Vat will be included in
the price of such items. I also buy house clearance and collectors’
items as a hobby for research and sometimes resale. I am not an expert
in most of the things I offer from this source and I quite accept that
there will be some items that I have great hopes for that are nearly
worthless! Equally there will be some superb bargains amongst them for
which I completely underestimate their worth! So bookmark me and keep
looking! I promise I will always strive to describe everything with
complete honesty.
Guarantee. Occasionally I get it wrong, I am only human. When I do I
readily refund, as my feedback shows. But I will not be taken
advantage of, so play fair with me and I will play fair with you.
