2 Peco Kit-built "00" Goods Wagons
"Coleman's Mustard Traffic" and "Saxa Salt"
I was given these years ago by the man who made them up from kits (he
once worked for Bassett Lowke in Northampton). I have occasionally run
them but because they are not really compatible with my present BR
model railway layout, it is time to let them go. They are beautiful
little wagoons with the original Hornby-Dublo style couplings. They
even have sprung axles and sprung buffers! I should just mention that
one of the sprung axles on the "Saxa Salt" wagon doesn't "spring" as
it should but looks as if it could be made to do so again by re-gluing
the upper part of the spring to the bodywork. Unsprung by pulling the
wheel down, everything runs fine.
(Wrenn, Tri-ang, Triang, Hornby, Hornby-Dublo, Mainline, Bachmann,
Lima, Dapol, Airfix compatible)
